Best bar in the area, by far. Real people having a relaxing evening. AND, they play the sound for all the Hawks games!!! Hertha, Patty and Sam always take care of you.

Best dive bar. I was out walking my dog one day when I stumbled upon this hidden gem. If you're a dive bar kinda person like myself, then it's love at first site.                  

Low-key and quiet so you can actually hear conversations. It's just a good ol' neighborhood bar. That's what makes it so novel.

Friendly people there! Walked in and had an apple cider with my fiance, he had one and we played 3 games of pool. $11 date! We were happy :)

J&M Tap is a hidden gem! It's laid back, unpretentious atmosphere and friendly staff represents what a neighborhood tavern should be. A true traditional Chicago bar!

Perhaps better known as the "Secret Squirrel" because of its blink-and-you'll-miss-it exterior, this corner dive does everything right: ice-cold PBR pitchers for seven bucks, mugs full of salty pretzel rods, a well-used pool table, and the sweetest bartender you'll ever meet singing along with Hole on the jukebox. Lit by yellowing lamps and a video slot machine, the vibe is warm and homey, welcoming and fun. It's the kind of bar where just stopping in for a beer will make you feel like family.

Great neighborhood bar to grab a drink and chat with locals. Nothing over the top here. Well-mixed drinks. No sign outside, just neon signs in the window to identify it.
